Butter Bakery started in 2017 as a local Pasadena bakery, where founder Devonna Banks went from a small cottage bakery to growing community across Southern California. Devonna didn't learn to bake from a culinary school or a cookbook. She learned by standing beside her grandmother, wide-eyed and ready to help, absorbing the kind of kitchen knowledge that can't be taught in a classroom. Those early memories, learning from a traditional scratch-baker, has become the foundation for everything Butter Bakery is today.

After years of baking for family & friends, Devonna turned her lifelong passion into a business that has now served thousands of customers.

Previously featured on platforms such as Tasty by Buzzfeed, Destination LA and the BET Experience, Butter Bakery has become known for going beyond the kitchen for local youth, small business owners, and other female entrepreneurs.
